Another question:
我m cleaning up my media library in wordpress. I have as well many images, I don’t uses anymore on my website, so I could delete them. But the thing is, I don’t know which ones I still use, and which ones I don’t use any more.
我ve searched for a plugin to help me with this, but couldn’t find anything. Does anyone know such a plugin?

Since I’m using Thrive Themes and Thrive Architect, I need another solution. Do you just now about a plugin that could do that, when using Thrive Themes?Thrive Themes says, that if there is an extra thumbnail on youtube videos, it’s necessary to make the video itself autoplay. But autoplay is in Chrome only allowed muted or with this two click behavior. Both is not very user friendly in my eyes…
In between I went through the whole optimization process and tada, my website went from red to green Web Core Vitals. Great!
But there is still an issue. I switched lazy load of youtube thumbnails on in Perfmatters. Now the thing is, that it’s necessary to cklick twice on the video, to get it started. You can see it here:

How did you get that work?

So, do you use both Plugins from ShortPixel: Adaptive Images and Image Optimizer?
The worse things with ShortPixel Adaptive Images was especially about Performance and LCP. Performance was only about 50% (GTmetrix), without Adaptive Images it was about 85%. LCP was about 3.6s, without Adaptive Images it was about 1.2s.

I just installed ShortPixel Image Optimizer and that made the page loading much faster. Than I also installed ShortPixel Adaptive Images, but this lead to worse results in GTmetrix or PageSpeed Insights. I guess there are some settings not set up ideal. Do I really need Adaptive Images as well? Which Tools of ShortPixel do you use and recommend to use?
And is this actually no problem/disadvanteg to have pictures loaded from a “foreign” CDN of ShortPixel?
I could as well compress pictures and then save right on my hosts server and use something like Cloudflare CDN. Then everything would be loaded from the same place. Isn’t that better?

Thank you very much for your helpful answer. I think I now quite fine, what to do and I’m working on it.
Some new questions just came up:
– I use wpengine right now. Do you think/know, another host would be much faster concerning loading times/server…?

Ok, that’s interesting. I was using Cloudflare in the beginning, but for some reason (can’t remember why) I then stopped using Cloudflare. I will keep that in mind.

It wasn’t an issue of spam complaints in my case. There have been to much bot subscriptions coming from my optin forms. I use double optin, but the confirmation emails have been send as well to the bot email adresses. So there was the problem.
I installed in between reCaptcha v3 and Getresponse reactivated my account. reCaptcha v3 isn’t visible and doesn’t take any action of people how subscribe. So I guess this is a good solution, or what do you think David?
Ok, that sounds of course more secure to do it in house…
I only have no idea, if that wouldn’t mean more work, than having an external autoresponder. And in the next weeks, I don’t have enought time for such a big change anyway…Is the behaviour of Getresponse according to your experience with other autoresponder companies just normal? Or doesn’t other companies at least offer few days to fix such issues, before they just lock down an account?
But anyway, I will/want to have a low spam amount. What can I do for that?

– Do you have experience with “honeypots”? This is my favorite so far, because subscriber wouldn’t have more work like with reCaptcha.
– What about reCaptcha (I hate it)? Have you ever tested if it decreases subspription rates?
(It looks like Getresponse is gona force me to use reCaptcha to reactivate my account again… – since I don’t have time for another quick fix, I probably have no other way for the next step…)

Ok, so it seems you didn’t have any such issues using wpengine and TA.
Yes, sometimes it works just to edit this elements and then save them.
But in this case, either the element looks suddenly fine after editing it, or I can correct it by editing it, but it doesn’t save and looks again the same after leaving TA.A little bit strange…
我m using wpengine. On the wordpress dashboard there is an item of wpengine called “General settings – Purge all caches”. That’s what I did, but that didn’t help. Anyway, I guess this could really be a caching issue.
Did you ever use wpengine together with Thrive Architect?

Yes, reCaptcha can really be annoying in my eyes too. I always hate to see it, when I login on a website.
